To increase the inbound capacity of your DID numbers you can purchase additional voice channels and assign them to your DIDs.
These channels increase the number of simultaneous calls that you can receive on the same number. Either flexible or dedicated channels may be purchased.
Dedicated channels are allocated to a specific DID, and allow additional simultaneous calls on that particular number.
Flexible channels span a selected group of DIDs, and allow additional call capacity on those numbers. Flexible channels are allocated to DIDs within a specified group on a first-come, first-served basis as incoming calls are received. Flexible channels groups may comprise of DIDs located anywhere in the world, for example, DIDs from Canada, USA and Australia may be included in the same shared-channel group.
Please note that calls forwarded to PSTN destinations can have only one channel.
